Moving to Philadelphia. Needs advice about buying a new house.?

We will move to Philly in August. Mu husband will start a new job in Downtown area. We want to buy a house. I have been searching neighborhoods. I found that Elkins Park is not bad at all and we can find nice houses in our price range. Also it is close to downtown. However, my husband thinks that it may be better to buy a newly constructed house because the city is old and so all the houses close to the city. He doesn't want to deal with problems that usually comes with old houses (roof etc.). I could find some newly constructed houses but they are all in New Jersey and 25-30 miles far from my husband's work. Which one do you think is better; buying a new house in Jersey or buying an old one in Elkins Park (Philadelphia)? Are the houses close to city really problematic because they are too old? How is life in Jersey where all these newly constructed houses located. They seem a bit dispersed in the sense that houses are far from groceries, shopping malls, restaurants, etc. Thanks for help.

Ok so I'm 14 all my life I've been living with my parents. They're sort of unstable. My mom hits me, I don't know if it's like illegal (do any of you know?) but since I was about 4 she's been hitting me on the head, arms, legs, kicking me she threatened menwith a key to my throat. My dad has highly debilitating OCD and he drinks every night to get rid of the symptoms (he hasn't told me any of this except I know for sure he has OCD). I have flashbacks of this, I'm highly impulsive and I do things other people clify as life threatening (eating sharpies, paint, jumping off a roof, eating staples falling down stairs purposely.) I have really fluctuating levels of self esteem. I self injure to stop my flashbacks and get rid of that terror that comes along with them. I scratch my head until it bleeds without thinking about it and my brain is infected with suicidal thoughts every night. I also can't relate to peoples emotions. If someone shares their emotion with me I can't empathize I just don't feel back for them. Is this really bad? Do i need like help? I kind of scare myself. Is this like a mental disorder or something? Thanks!

Okay... you need to take at least one more language to get into a decent college... probably two more to get into one of the colleges you mentioned. Taking Pre-Cal honors and AP Calculus your junior and senior year would definitely help. Try to take as many honors and AP cles as you can, colleges like students who challenge themselves. Sorry if I couldn't help much, but I'm a freshman from NC and this is what the counsellors have been telling us.

I have a plant which I have now brought inside. It has had beautiful delicate flowers on it al summer long. They are yellow and pink and purple and are the size of thumb. After the flowers fall off there are little green cluster . They then turn purple and eventually dry. Then they fall to ground. I was told to bring in when the weather gets cooler which I have done. Ok, here's the deal. There's this really REALLY pretty girl I see in the hallways throughout the day, and I really want to get to know her. Thing is, we don't have any cles together, I only see her in the hallway. I'm pretty sure she likes me back though. The week after that, I started seeing her in the morning more often when I was at my locker. One time when I was at my locker, her and her friend walked by, and when she walked by, she walked REALLY close to me. Another time, I was waiting for my friend at his locker, and I saw her and her friend walk by. After she ped by me, she turned around and looked at me. Like a week ago, I saw her looking around (the same place she was looking at me on her way to her cl), and I think she was looking for me. The yesterday, I saw her there again, and this time, she turned around and looked at me again. Then, I saw her when I was walking down to my last cl, and I saw her eyes roll towards me as she was talking to her friend. Today, I would've tried talking to her, but when I normally see her (after fourth period), all the people in front of me were walking really freaking slow so I couldn't. It's how you choose to let it affect you and how you handle it that matters. Just be there for your family, do what you can to help out. maybe she was mistreated when she would bark and probably the people who abandoned her never played with her. she might need more time to adapt to toys right now she probably doesnt even know what to do with toys so buy her a lot of toys and just throw them all on the floor for her and eventually she might pick the one she likes and if she doesnt try playing with the toys and she might be interested in doing that as well and just slowly introduce her to the toy. i have tried this many times with other dogs but it has taken quiet a while for them to understand that toys are ok to play with and that they are nothing out of this world.

i visit my grandparents a month every year and next door there's this family with a dog separated by a fence. the dog is the nicest, most beautiful, most playful and energetic dog i've ever seen, but every time i walk by the dog is in the fenced off area, and she's been there for as long as i can remember. My best friend is a bad parent.?

So I love my best friend but I think I'm starting to hate her because of the way she treats her daughter. She and I are 25 and her daughter is 5. I have well more then just a few bulging or herniated discs all the way up my back. Herniated discs aren't really relate to your height that is more bone density because as you get older your bone weakens Osteoperosis and sometimes when your bone weakens you can get compression fractures in your spine. Compression fractures will cause you to lose height. I think bulging disc are premenant, but I think they can get worse. If you do at some point start to experience arm or leg pain, numbness, or tingling then I suggest you talk to your physician because that could me your herniated disc are pressing more against your spinal cord. I think you can play sports and dance again but don't over do it or anything that could injure yourself worse.

My boyfriend lied to me about meeting a girl on a business trip.?

He had a trip planned and then made comments and suggestions for a female to go there as well. I confronted him and he said it was work related. I dismissed this and suggested that work trips should be planned through work. I had forgotten all about this incident. I called him a couple times and he did not answer. When he called back he said he was sleeping - it was 9pm there- and I could hear the elevator dinging in the background. He said she wasn't there, then he said she was supposed to go but it got canceled then he went on to sa he loves me moe than anything etc, etc. I called the hotel, they where both there and had both checked out the same day. I read her posts and found this was not the First time they where at the same place at the same time. The, suddenly all the posts where gone, he had told her I saw them. I asked if she wasn't there how did she know I was reading these, if there was nothing to hide why where the posts gone. He first denied any involvement then said he emailed her.He said he would do anything to prove he didn't do anything, I said forward the email to me. Several days went by and I asked if he had sent it. He now says he deleted it and cant retrieve it. I just want to know if all these coincidence are just that. I also want to know what I should do? I also need to say that he also took "an old friend" to dinner and lied to me about it until I stumbled upon the truth- a speeding ticket. Okay so i have been around and been shooting guns since i was like 3 or 4 years old i have never had a ault rifle and i always wanted one.I am currently 16 years old 17 next month and i wanted to buy one when i turn 18 yes i got shotguns and everything just not in my name right now but anyways i am looking for something pretty cheap under a 1000 dollars probably around 500 bucks for a start i heard to good and bad things about sks rifles i heard they jam up alot so i thought about getting an ak47 but sks and ak47 rifles have gone up in price now so if im going to pay around 700 bucks for an ak47 i misewell just put in a few hunderd more and get an reliable ar15 or m4 from impact guns and have more accuracy and more reliable gun but ammo is quite pricey about a dollar a bullet i think for 55.6 and 223 rounds so i was thinking the ak47 there cheaper really reliable i heard cause the older ones i think you can beat them around more and they will still fire good i heard and i also heard you can get mud and dust in them and they can still fire and they got the cleaning stuff on them for the battlefield and the stuff is pretty cheap for them and ammo is way cheaper only like 7 bucks i think for 50 rounds about 20 to 25 cents each bullet compared to a dollar a bullet the only thing is that they are inaccurate and fairly far distances i think there accurate guns just the recoil from the power of the rifle makes its accuracy not so good on the gun but i was just wondering any suggestions on what i could get for pretty cheap and something that will last and a good home protection rifle i would also just get a Ruger p95 or Ruger sr9 but i cant own handguns until im 21 were i live thanks for reading and let me know suggestions on a good starter ault rifle thats cheap and reliable and yes i can handle guns even if there powerful thanks guys.

It's hard to say, it does have a LOT of thing that need to be changed. Too many words used over in each sentence, some wording problems that could be tidied up a bit and a few run ons. But the plus side is that I see some extreme potential for you. The character you write about keeps me interested and you create a mystery for the reader, who is she, what's going on. It keeps you wanting to know but you're going to have to word on sentence structure a bit. Make it sound more interesting, but it's a good beggining and I think this could be worth reading =)

We are beginning to worry incase she decides to go walkabouts in the middle of the night. So what Im looking for is an alarm system that can be fitted easily to her front door that can inform us if her front door is opened but without sounding a LOUD audible alarm. LOL!!! This is just part of his personality. That's so cute! I have a Maine Coon cat that does something strange too...she can't drink water unless one of her paws is floating on the top of the water she's drinking. So here she is drinking water with a paw on top of it! But whats really funny is the fact that afterwords she gets mad that her paw is wet and refuses to walk on it until it gets dry again. So then she'll go limping through the house. I think another thing is, you have a Siamese. They have such personality's! I have another cat that is a Himalayan which is half Siamese and I've never seen a cat with more of a personality in my life and I've seen lots of cats! But back to my Maine Coon...she loves water as well. Not taking baths, but anything else. I'll be 34 weeks pregnant on wednesday. For the past week or week and a half I have been noticing a lot more fetal movement. I can feel her moving around a lot up high near my ribcage and when i feel her with my hands it feels like an elbow,knee,fist,heel of a foot or something to that nature. more like a pointy shape feel, not round. and when she moves at times i feel sooo miuch pressure down low like almost to the point it feels like her hand is going to just pop right out. it puts a lot of pressure on my bladder making me pee more often and sometimes gets real uncomfortable because of how sharp and heavy it feels. i sometimes feel movements down low like a rolling feeling but not as often as i do high up movements. what im wondering is does this sound like baby is breech or head down? im curious to know and have an ultrasound next week but how do u know what position they are in? thanks

You can do your baby tummy time probably i would start about a month in. You can do that as much as you want just however you feel like laying baby. I would burp baby when switching sides they dont get as much air when feeding. Also py is all up to mommy but have heard that a study was done and py reduces risk of sids. Umbilical they should show you at the hospital ask the nurses to help and food is just i would always put it to my lip before bites. It is scary stuff but usually comes natural to mommy i had never been around babys never even held one till my 1st and it was so natural and i just knew what to do. Pet thing is also up to mommy. I would say let doggy or kitty sniff around baby so they can get used to baby good luck

He's more of an entertainer than an actual dog trainer. I find his techniques questionable at best. It's all style and little substance. Dude, this is too easy. Gates is the type of guy who sees respect as a one way street... something that is owed to him, not earned. Ok, so I work in a nursing home in the nuursing department and we must wear scrubs. Since I started there we were aloud to wear any scrubs, but the rules are being changed and scrubs with pediatric prints (Spongebob, Scooby Doo, ect) are no longer permitted since it is ageriatric setting (old people). Since I'm in school and broke, I don't have a lot of cash for new scrubs. I did buy some of those $8 scrub tops and decided to go to a local craft shop with a coworker and "spice" up our cheapo scrubs with some personal decor'. On my black scrub top I used red glitter to write "Angel of Death" across my chest. I also wrote "C*m Dumpster" across my white scrub top in gold glitter and on my blue top I used black glitter to write " Star". White scrub pants are now required so I spiced up my back pocket to say "Inject Here" since we are nurses, I thought this was acute idea. Our D. O. N. didn't like my new scrubs and told me we (me and my coworker) can't wear them anymore to work.

I am a student currently attending my in state University and I can't find anyone that has the same pion as me. I'm a guitar player that is a complete aficionado of jazz fusion music and I had to major in something other than music just so I could get a stable job. Everyday I have to sit in my cles listening to people rabble about their daily lives while I just stare at the ceiling waiting them to shut up. All the real musicians are usually guys around their 40s that actually take things seriously. I've been fortunate enough to be born into a very wealthy family and i have amazing friends too.
