ault rifles for beginners?

Okay so i have been around and been shooting guns since i was like 3 or 4 years old i have never had a ault rifle and i always wanted one.I am currently 16 years old 17 next month and i wanted to buy one when i turn 18 yes i got shotguns and everything just not in my name right now but anyways i am looking for something pretty cheap under a 1000 dollars probably around 500 bucks for a start i heard to good and bad things about sks rifles i heard they jam up alot so i thought about getting an ak47 but sks and ak47 rifles have gone up in price now so if im going to pay around 700 bucks for an ak47 i misewell just put in a few hunderd more and get an reliable ar15 or m4 from impact guns and have more accuracy and more reliable gun but ammo is quite pricey about a dollar a bullet i think for 55.6 and 223 rounds so i was thinking the ak47 there cheaper really reliable i heard cause the older ones i think you can beat them around more and they will still fire good i heard and i also heard you can get mud and dust in them and they can still fire and they got the cleaning stuff on them for the battlefield and the stuff is pretty cheap for them and ammo is way cheaper only like 7 bucks i think for 50 rounds about 20 to 25 cents each bullet compared to a dollar a bullet the only thing is that they are inaccurate and fairly far distances i think there accurate guns just the recoil from the power of the rifle makes its accuracy not so good on the gun but i was just wondering any suggestions on what i could get for pretty cheap and something that will last and a good home protection rifle i would also just get a Ruger p95 or Ruger sr9 but i cant own handguns until im 21 were i live thanks for reading and let me know suggestions on a good starter ault rifle thats cheap and reliable and yes i can handle guns even if there powerful thanks guys.
