Is it true that Christians are no longer under their God's old laws in Leviticus?

The reason my friend is because all laws and sacrifices instituted by God in the old testament were a shadow which pointed to the coming Christ. Once Christ paid the perfect sacrifices, there was no more need of any sacrifices because Jesus fulfilled the law. We are no longer under law, but under grace. But that doesnt mean a person who believes in Jesus can commit adultery or lie, or cheat or so on. We love and obey Christ and strive to live according to His standards.
