Were the 9/11 terrorists from Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia? If they were from Arabia, what did they want from?

The Bin Laden family were powerful in Saudi Arabia, and Osama had access to his family's money. He helped finance Al-Qaeda with his family's money, and is responsible for funding and partly in organizing the 9/11 attacks. Khalid Shiekh Mohammad was the main mastermind behind the attacks, and he is currently being detained at Gitmo. The terrorists were from Saudi Arabia (15), the UAE (2), Egypt (1), and Lebanon (1). Al-Qaeda aims to spread Jihad against the U.S. and its foreign interests.
